How Locivia works

Four steps, from the moment you spot somewhere in a video to the morning you’re standing in front of it. Locivia suggests; you always decide.

Step 1

Share a link from the app you found it in

Locivia adds itself to the iPhone Share menu. When a video, post, or article mentions somewhere you want to go, share it and add a quick note. You can do this before you’ve chosen a destination — it goes into your general Inspiration Library.

  • Supported: public links from major social and web sources.
  • Your note is saved alongside the original link, so context survives.
  • Private accounts and content Locivia can’t open are reported honestly instead of failing silently.

Step 2

Locivia reads the content and suggests places

Captions, descriptions, and on-screen text usually contain the name of the place. Locivia extracts what it can and proposes matches — with an honest note about how confident it is.

  • Suggestions are proposals, never automatic saves.
  • If a video doesn’t say where it was filmed, Locivia says it couldn’t identify a place.
  • The link stays in your Library either way, so you never lose the idea.

Step 3

You review and approve

Nothing reaches your map until you say so. Approve a match, correct it to the right location, or remove it. Corrections are the fastest way to keep a trip trustworthy.

  • Approve, edit, or dismiss each suggestion.
  • Add your own places manually whenever you want.
  • Archive an idea to keep it without cluttering the plan.

Step 4

Plan days on one map

Approved places appear together on a single map. Group what’s close into a day, reorder stops, and keep the original video attached to every pin for when you get there.

  • See distances before you commit to a day.
  • Reorder stops without rebuilding the plan.
  • Invite the people you’re travelling with to the same Library.

Under the hood

Every saved link has a state you can see

No silent failures. A link always tells you where it stands.

  • Saved

The link is stored in your Library with your note and its original source.

  • Processing

Locivia is reading the supported content to look for possible places.

  • Needs review

Suggested places are waiting for you to approve, correct, or remove.

  • Approved

You confirmed the place. It appears on the map and can be added to a day.

  • Couldn't identify

No place could be determined. The link stays saved and you can add a place yourself.

  • Archived

Kept out of the way without deleting it. You can restore or delete it later.
