Privacy Policy

Locivia only processes what it needs to turn the links you deliberately share into places on your map.

Draft for owner review. This document is a plain-language draft. The legal operator name, postal address, governing jurisdiction, and effective date still need to be supplied and reviewed before Locivia relies on it publicly. Nothing here has been invented to fill those gaps.

What we collect

  • Account details. Your email address and, if you provide one, your first name.
  • Links you share. The URLs you send to Locivia and the public text Locivia reads from them (captions, descriptions, on-screen text) to suggest a place.
  • Content you create. Saved places, trips, notes, and Library organisation.
  • Diagnostics. Crash and error information needed to keep the app working.
  • Messages you send us. Waitlist signups and support messages, including the email address you give us so we can reply.

Locivia never reads your social feeds, never posts on your behalf, and does not sell personal data.

How we use it

To identify places from the links you share, to store your Libraries and trips, to reply to your messages, and to fix bugs. Suggestions always require your approval before anything appears on your map.

Sharing and processors

We use service providers to host the app, store data, send email, and process link content. They act on our instructions only. We disclose data otherwise only when legally required.

Retention

Account content is kept while your account exists. Support messages are kept as long as needed to handle the request and keep a record of it. Deleting your account removes your content — see the account deletion page.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can request access, correction, export, or deletion of your data, and object to certain processing. Start on the privacy choices page or use the contact form.

Children

Locivia is not intended for anyone under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will update the effective date above and tell you in the app or by email before the change takes effect.
