Public Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels, TikTok videos, YouTube Shorts. Availability may depend on the source platform, region, privacy settings and whether the original content remains accessible. Private or unreadable links are reported honestly — the save stays in your Library so you can add the place yourself.

A video may never say where it was filmed, or the source may no longer be accessible. Locivia reports “couldn’t identify” instead of guessing, and that attempt does not consume your smart-import allowance. You can add the place manually and keep the original link attached.

A successful smart import is counted only when Locivia processes a supported travel video and returns at least one usable, verified place candidate for you to review. One video counts as one import—even when it contains several places. Pasting a URL is not an import, and failed, unsupported, inaccessible, duplicate or unverified results never count.

Free includes 15 successful smart video imports for the lifetime of the account. Locivia Pro includes 300 successful smart video imports per billing month, shared across the host and invited travelers. Annual subscribers’ imports refresh monthly rather than receiving 3,600 imports upfront.

Yes. Every detected place needs your review — approve it, correct it to the right location, or remove it. Places appear under Needs Review first. Only places you approve become pins on your map.

Locivia Pro is purchased and managed through Apple. Open your Apple account settings to view, change or cancel the subscription before the next renewal date. Cancelling stops future renewals; refunds are handled by Apple under Apple’s applicable purchase and refund processes. Your saved Locivia data is preserved after cancellation. Cancelling a subscription and deleting your account are separate actions.

Yes. Imports belong to a trip. If you have not chosen a destination yet, start an Anywhere trip and collect your ideas there.

Invite up to three companions to a specific shared trip. Everyone can add links and see approved places there. Imports use the host’s shared allowance; companions do not receive separate Pro subscriptions, and the invite does not expose the host’s other trips.

Not yet. Locivia is a native iPhone app today. Android isn’t scheduled, and we won’t promise a date we can’t keep.

Never posts. Locivia only processes the videos you deliberately share to it, and it does not permanently store the original social-media video — only the submitted link, relevant source metadata, extracted place information and your saved decisions. Locivia is an independent travel-planning service and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Instagram, Meta, TikTok, YouTube or Google.
